Our lift and slide timber doors can be specified with glazing configurations designed to meet the advanced safety, security and thermal requirements of the UK and Irish markets.

Because HS doors typically incorporate large-format, low-level glazing, all units can be supplied in full compliance with UK Building Regulations Part K and equivalent Irish standards. Toughened safety glass is available to reduce the risk of injury in the event of breakage, while laminated safety glass provides additional impact resistance and improved protection against forced entry, making it especially suitable for ground-floor and security-sensitive installations.

For improved comfort on south-facing or highly exposed elevations, solar-control glazing can also be specified to reduce solar gain and help maintain more stable indoor temperatures. All glazing units are manufactured with warm edge TGI spacers, helping to limit thermal bridging and reduce perimeter condensation.

Where additional access control is required, the system can be upgraded to a double-sided handle with a key-operated locking cylinder, allowing secure locking from both inside and outside. This makes the door especially suitable for garden entrances and frequently used external access points.
